Information about the role

As an IT/OT Technician at OSG, you will have a varied daily routine where you work closely with both technology and people. You are responsible for the operation, maintenance, and development of their server environment, as well as supporting both internal teams and customers in their systems.

A large part of the role involves ensuring that IT environments function stably and efficiently – from network equipment to servers and clients. You also work with SCADA system deliveries where you configure hardware and system solutions.

When time allows, you will also support integration work, helping to connect building automation from the field level up to SCADA.

Responsibilities

• Operation, maintenance, and responsibility for server environments (primarily Windows)
• Work in and develop OSG's operations portal
• Ensure backup, updates, and stable operations
• Configure networks, firewalls, servers, and clients in project deliveries
• Provide technical support to internal teams and customers (primarily via remote connection)
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues in both IT and OT environments
• Support SCADA integrations and communication between PLC and systems as needed

We are looking for someone who

• Has post-secondary education in IT, preferably with a focus on networking
• Has good knowledge of Windows Server environments
• Has a basic understanding of networking
• Communicates fluently in Swedish and English, both verbally and in writing

It is an advantage if you have knowledge in:

• Linux
• Communication protocols and fieldbuses
• OPC UA
• PLC and control/regulation
• Programming (e.g., JavaScript, VBA, or SQL)

As a person, we believe you have a strong technical interest and a desire to develop. You do not need to know everything from the start – the most important thing is that you are driven, detail-oriented, and willing to ask questions when you encounter problems. You thrive both working independently and collaboratively, and enjoy solving technical challenges in a varied daily routine.

Practical information:

This is part of our consulting business, and you will be employed as a consultant by Professionals Nord during your first 12 months, working as a consultant at OSG. The ambition is that you will thereafter be directly hired by OSG, provided that all parties are satisfied with the collaboration.
